Retreats and Meetings
Great Camp Sagamore is a place that brings people together in a very distinct and personal way. This quiet place, a place of rest in nature which takes away all the cacaphony of the day to day, and replaces it with a time to think, to contemplate, relate and open up to new ideas. This is why we welcome retreats and meetings as they can be life-changing, memorable and poignant.
We host the New York State Art Teachers Association annually. These teachers paint, create and network--and bring art and energy back into what they do. We help a group of Skidmore students acclimate to college with an orientation program which introduces them to new friends, new opportunitites, the Adirondack wilderness and the beginning of a new chapter of their lives. For many years we have hosted an Arts and Healing weekend, building support and community for women with chronic illness and cancer. We have hosted the Museum Institute at Sagamore with The Museum Association of New York, bringing together museum professionals from all over New York State to network, learn, problem solve and find community.
So, think about it. Do you have a program, meeting, problem you need to solve that would benefit from time away from it all--and a chance to think broadly and openly with a group or team? Give us a call, and we can work with you to make this a reality.
